Another backyard guest

I heard loud scratching noises out the back this afternoon and looked out to find we had a visitor admiring its reflection on our back sliding doors.

For non-Australian readers, this is a scrub turkey, or bush turkey. I wouldn't deep fry one of these.

Looking for food.

When I went outside, it flew up onto the back fence and sat there for a while before jumping down to the other side.

I know we have the odd cat roaming the area, and possums, now we can add another animal to our list of visitors!
